Escapades
An Escapade is 'an act or incident involving excitement, daring, or adventure', which sounds pretty good to us! So throughout the year we're organising mini-adventures to explore more with our Members, and they'll be listed here so you can join us. Imagine early morning train rides across the country, then riding back. Or driving down to France to tackle some famous climbs and watch the Tour de France... So no need to book time off, and the best bit?.. They're absolutely free! We plan, organise & co-ordinate everything in the VCC Whatsapp group. You just need to become a member, come along for the ride and get your own train tickets / lunch etc.
June: Isle of White
Saturday 7th June we are taking a day trip across the Solent to ride around the coast of the Isle of White. 110km, 1500m of climbing, coffee stops, lunch stops, sunshine and sea views. Famous for it's white cliffs, windmills, electric blue seas and and having better weather than Spain!
July: Ventoux & TDF
In the first of what is to become a regular Escapade, we're inviting members to come on on a road trip to Ventoux! This is no ordinary trip, as we'll be tackling all 3 climbs of the famous mountain on Monday, then finding a good spot to watch Stage 16 of the Tour de France finish there on Tuesday. We're also front loading with some time near Toulouse, and eyeing up Morzine for a few days aferwards. As always just join the VCC Whatsapp Group for all the details.
