Where are you from?

"I'm based in Tynemouth in the NE coast of the UK."

How did you get into cycling?

"I got into cycling as a way to pivot my fitness goals away from lifting weights & generally improve my cardio fitness... But I quickly caught the bug & 5 years later l've got 3 bikes (1 gravel)!"

What does cycling mean to you?

"The best bit for me is definitely the club camaraderie, going out crunching some miles with the guys & seeing some epic places - and racing my bikes too!"

Tell us about your bike:

"It's a team bike made exclusively for the Giro, with custom rainbow flip lacquer & electric blue/pink graphics. I LOVE IT."

What's the best bit?

"Oooo I bought everything individually... So I loved the process of choosing the parts I liked the most, weighing up performance vs aesthetics, and seeing it all come together was a real highlight. The small details are my favourite part of the build - rainbow SRAM chain, blue Ceramic Speed BB & the pink preload ring."

The Spec:

  • Sram Force D2
  • Quarq Power Meter
  • Sram Red Rainbow Chain
  • Ceramic Speed Headset & Bottom Bracket

Awww mate. Thanks a lot :)

A little bit about Me & My Bike

This is a project / hobby that I started about 10 years ago. I was sat in Giro cafe, Esher and struck up a conversation with a complete stranger about his bike. The next thing I know we were writing a post, and Me & My Bike was born. We all meet great characters at cycling cafes and this is a good start at sharing them. So next time you go for a coffee, don't be afraid to chat to the group next to you - you never know where it might take you.
