It's fair to say that we're not your average executive, billionaire, philanthropist business owners. Coming from different backgrounds, skill sets and even countries we like to think that we both we bring a lot to the table. We certainly have a lot to talk about - and always find the answers by getting stuck in! So here's our introduction to us, 'those guys from Velovie'.

How did you get into cycling? It happened when i moved to London! The tube was so expensive, I picked up an aluminium road bike from eBay for £70 . It slowly crumbled away so I upgraded it bit by bit - it was a great way to learn.

Favourite bike? Actually it has to be my winter bike - a Cannondale CAAD10, Ultegra mechanical, Dura Ace wheels, rim brake. Absolutely bomb proof, easy to maintain & I don't worry aboutn scratching. Especially good for travelling.

Next adventure? Well we're planning a trip back to Morzine to write up some guides, and find some new partners... But I'm really looking forward to riding Slovenia!

Time off the bike? I've really got into trail running. Something about running in the mountains is amazing, & since i didn't manage to finish UTMB I have some unfinished business!

Favourite jersey? Obviously our VCC fade jersey is dogs dangly's, but a close second is the EF x Palace Training Jersey from 2021. The grey & lime one with the dinosaur on the back.

Essential bit of kit? Getting a great multi-tool is important, but the thing i wouldn't do without is my Metier Beacon Gillet. It has rechargable lights inside the material and is super warm.

Favourite climb? Alp D'Huez - but when you go through the town and over the top. it looks like a moon landing up there.

I was born in Hampshire & spent the last 15 years living in London, so I'm definitely a Southerner! Though I would love to live in Yorkshire. I worked in tech for 20 years & after some post covid redundancy decided to take the plunge and follow my dream of building a career with cycling. I love to dunk a chocolate croissant in a flat white, building bikes, and my friends call me Hobbit.

We're hands on, we're on the road, and we're growing really fast - but none of this would be possible wihthout the people & partners who help us every day. The friends and family (you know who are) and business who make the magic happen, will be front and centre through everything we do. If you like how we roll and want to get involved, then check out our Partner Page and get in touch.
